Sticks and Stones...

Greetings!

I hope I'm finding you well.

Yesterday, I watched the boys use sticks they found in the woods as Jedi Lightsabers. With those same sticks, they saved a field mouse from becoming the cat's breakfast. Later on, they stuck their sticks down their boots and turned into dancing robots. They spent hours smashing a rock into another rock to make a fine rock dirt. Then, they mixed the dirt with water to make little pots, now curing in the sunshine.

Content with their sticks and stones and some time to discover all that they can be. Simple.

That's how playful, and simple sourdough is. Sourdough is my sticks and stones. I take a big ol' bag of flour and some water and give myself time to play, discovering all that it can be.

Today we mixed, divided, and rolled out our dough. With a cast-iron hot and rarin' to go, we made up a steaming pile of soft and tender sourdough tortillas. So simple that my five-year-old took over the process for me. If he can do it, so can you!

Talk to you next week.

ALL THE LOVE!
